It’s 2009 and in my role as Facilitator of e-Learning for Peak-ICT I have decided to spend self-directed learning time (yes during the ‘hols’) dabbling with Web 2.0 tools and creating my own PLN or personal learning network.

The journey has been and no doubt will continue to be a very interesting one as I quote Dr Seuss " Oooh the places. you’ll go!"   This is just the beginning and there is so much to learn!

Here’s what I have read about and dabbled with so far:

  • Vizthink – kinesthetic modelling.  Visual thinking in 3 dimensions.  "People can think with their hands".
  • Ceryl Doig – Develop shared norms of common practice together.  Learning walks – what would they look like, sound like and feel like?
  • Modify PeaK-ICT wikispace – think about one page strategy mapping -imindmap?
  • Blog and wiki Counters and Clustrmap
  • Delicious – what is it and how can this work for me?
  • k12Learning 2.0
  • Make notes on improving communication
  • Vistaprint – stationery order
  • Twitter, twemes and twitpics
  • Meetsee
  • RSS in simple feed
  • Oz/nz educators blog
  • E-mail Sue at Blogger and keep a record of top 5 handy tools
  • ‘Gettingtrickywithwikis’ scrolling banner
  • sign up to ning social network
  • check out viddix and voicethread
  •  Netvibes - customise page
  • Twitter – add badge – cell updates?
  • Find out more about pbwiki
  • Join the 31 Day Challenge
