The Blog Box

To enthuse readers to my blog and encourage more feedback (as part of the 31 Day Challenge) I have added in a short post (here and there) that reflects and puts a ‘bit of a spin’ on the challenge task at hand.  It should prove useful too!

As we dig into our blog stats, you must have at least one minute to spare.  Take a short break and make those precious sixty seconds count right now – here are a few ways: take a deep breath, drink a glass of water, flex your fingers on your desktop, eat a banana, share a joke with another blogger or stand up and jog on the spot.  Set your timer if need be and do basically anything that makes you feel good.  You see on their own these trivial actions might seem to humble to make a difference.   But over the course of time just one minute of deep breathing, and in a month you’ve given yourself thirty minutes of energy, vitality and more life.  Go on, use the above ideas or come up with your own and start the one minute take a break challenge today!

While we are on the subject of introductions I watched a movie called, "Into the Wild" that is worth mentioning here.  Based on a true story it’s about  a top student Christopher Alexander McCandless a.k.a ‘Alexander Supertramp’ who abandons his possessions, gives his entire savings away to charity, hitchikes to Alaska and lives in the wilderness.  I am not going to ‘tell all’ or explain what happens but will say that he kept a simple diary and state one very vivid statement that he wrote: "Happiness only real when shared ".  Great words of wisdom for me that come from introducing myself and my world through blogging to others.  If you like a great storyline and melacholy songs, rent the movie – it will be well worth your time!

Confidence is critical to the success of any blog.  When it comes to analysing your blog competition confidence is also about feeling capable, being comfortable and at ease with what you create and ultimately not requiring approval from others.  Here are a few ‘blogging with confidence’ pointers:

Confidence comes from being competent -   keeping up in the ‘blog game’

‘Fake it until your make it’ – look to role model bloggers and optimistic influences

A positive attitude and outlook on blogging develops confidence

Define your own blog style – it will communicate more about you than you actually think !
